Born digital files are originally created in a digital environment, rather than scanned or converted from a physical orginal. These slides include information on converting formats, using write blockers, and email archiving. This information is helpful for a beginner's understanding of topics to be aware of in the day-to-day practice of digital archives management. The topics overlap with digital preservation. These slides are part of Module 3: Save It of the Digital Stewardship Curriculum.
